Items report

What question it answers
“What sells, and what makes money?” Shows each product with units sold, total invoiced, and profit.

When to check it
Before deciding what to restock, what to promote, and what to stop buying. A product that sells a lot but makes little isn’t the same as one that sells little but makes a lot — this report shows both together.
Good to know
Profit depends on the cost price. If the cost is entered wrong, the profit figure will be wrong too. Recording purchases and keeping costs updated is what makes this column reliable.
The average price is useful when the same product sells at different prices: it shows what it’s actually selling for.
It exports to Excel. It’s the report people most often pull into a spreadsheet to cross-check against other data.
You can filter by point of sale, if the business has more than one.
